RTKKit is a local field app. There are no user accounts. We do not sell your data.
The app uses precise GPS/GNSS while you are using the app so you can capture points, stake, and work against a plot plan. Location is not used in the background. Saved job files stay on the device unless you export or share them (project zip, KML, and similar). Some features send a coordinate you queried to third-party services as described below.
Used only to connect to an external GNSS receiver you choose.
Store builds do not upload crash reports, heartbeats, or plot files to Stout Gear servers. There is no cloud backup.
On Android, Google Maps may receive map-tile requests from the device when the map is shown. Those requests can include an approximate map area.
On iOS, Apple Maps may receive map-tile requests from the device when the map is shown. Those requests can include an approximate map area.
When you tap the map for ground elevation, or when the app converts GNSS ellipsoid height to orthometric (sea-level) height, the device may send the coordinate you queried to:
Those services see the location of that query. Store builds do not send a copy of that request to Stout Gear servers. Elevations from these sources are estimates only.
If you connect to an NTRIP caster you choose, that caster receives the approximate position it needs to send RTK corrections. We do not operate the caster and we do not see that traffic.
If you email support@rtkkit.com, we only see what you send.
